Ladies and gentlemen, this strip marks the beginning of a bold new era. (I know I've said that before, but this is the newest of the bold new eras, and will continue up to the present day.)

As you know if you've read my notes on the previous comics, the plan was for Mr. D.F. French to take over writing and drawing Fuzzball and Scuzzball, and I was killing time until he was ready. Eventually it became obvious that was never going to happen, so I made my peace with being the sole writer and artist, and set about remaking F&S into the strip I wanted it to be.

First off I changed Fuzzball's coloring, because I hated the previous color, and I changed the size of the panels. You'll notice that they're shorter now. Just those two changes make me like the look of the comic much more.

I also stopped trying to set up DFF's Weirdo-Freak and Malev'lynn story and put the focus back on Fuzzball and Scuzzball. The argument in this strip is only the starting point for a very long storyline that will go in all sorts of strange directions.

This would probably be one of my favorite F&S strips, if I had only kept the horizon line in the same place every panel. As it is, the way it jumps around from panel to panel makes the strip visually jarring. At least to me.
